Blocks: #7, #8

Trigger: M6 has been used for about two weeks

From PLAN.md, section "S8".

This spike decides which block types come next, from evidence instead of a
list.

  • Read the friction log (docs/dogfood.md) and history for things done
    in terminals that wanted structure:
    • polling a build;
    • tailing a service's logs;
    • re-reading a diff an agent made;
    • opening a file only to read it.
  • Prototype each candidate as a throwaway type behind the M6 block
    contract: config, state, attention, capture --text, methods, log. Note
    where the contract doesn't fit.
  • Candidates:
    • job: a non-interactive command, or a hal0 or CI job;
    • service: a long-running process with restart, logs and a port, for
      example a sprite service or a dev server. It might subsume part of M6a's
      browser block;
    • file: a read-only view;
    • diff: from git diff on a host, or from an agent's edits;
    • notes: a Markdown scratchpad per tab, as a wildcard.
  • Output: a short README choosing types, and changes to the block contract
    if any. M10 and M11 below are the expected outcome, and S8 can reshape or
    drop them.
